Jakob Ropes System was involved in the new luxury building designed by Atelier Jean Nouvel and developed by JDS Development Group.

Jakob Rope System was chosen for the unique green façade trellis component of the new building designed by French Architect Jean Nouvel and developed by JDS Development Group. Located in South Beach, in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Miami, Monad Terrace is a 59-unit apartment building: individually designed luxury condos are arrayed around a glittering lagoon on Biscayne Bay.

The climbing gardens of Monad Terrace are supported by trellis cables mounted to the railing. Native Bougainvillea and Passion Vines populate the façade, allowing dappled light and sheltering expansive private outdoor spaces.
This innovative green wall system and railings was devised by Jakob, who, together with the design team, selected the suitable hardware, accessories, and cables to realize the vision.
The north and south facades will become biodiverse landscapes, passively cleaning the air with filters of flowers, plants and leaves. Visual intimacy from neighbor to neighbor is also integrated into the terraces and apartments of Monad. A beautiful vertical tapestry of landscape frames their views.

Webnet is the ideal product to achieve various functions of a green façade – transparency, plant training and to accomplish the intentional espalier geometry that was designed by the architect.
Jakob coordinated with the construction company from beginning to end, taking charge of the delivery and care of the finished products and accessories to the jobsite to ensure a smooth and easy installation.
